Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Laws degree from the University of London (Queen Mary and Westfield).

Admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1986, Genevieve was a litigation partner in one of the largest firms in Singapore with experience in dispute resolution for both criminal and civil matters. Thereafter she worked in an American multinational informational technology company for more than 10 years first leading the Intellectual Property law department covering the Asia-Pacific region then the larger General Legal team for Southeast Asia. She regularly advised on intellectual property and licensing arrangements, technology-related agreements, patent strategy and portfolio management.

Previous to joining I.N.C. Law, Genevieve worked at a publicly-listed company for seven years. In her roles as General Counsel and Company Secretary, she provided legal support to the entity and its group of companies on various aspects of law including joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements, employment, mergers and acquisition, corporate secretarial, corporate governance, directors’ duties and company compliance.
